​Mr. Bucknam has stood out as an educator dedicated to the Hochman Writing Program at 754x and to improving the literacy skills of our students.  Mr. Bucknam has integrated the writing strategies seamlessly into his Spanish classroom. Mr. Bucknam’s hard work has transcended from his classroom to other bilingual classrooms in the building.  Ms. Valarezo has adapted the Hochman Writing resources used in Mr. Bucknam's class to meet the specific learning needs of her students. Not only do these teachers utilize Hochman effectively in their classrooms, but they consistently contribute to their monthly common planning meetings with feel teachers.  During these meetings both Mr. Bucknam and Ms. Valarezo exhibit student work focused around the writing strategies and are always willing to answer questions and provide actionable feedback.
